- DTSBDC reception at Peru Embassy residence featured in The Georgetowner 6 December, 2014
Peruvian Ambassador Harold Forsyth and his wife Veronica hosted a beautiful reception at their home to celebrate Dana Tai Soon Burgess as Washington DC’s Diplomat of Dance. Guests were treated to a performance of Dana’s work Chino Latino.

- DTSBDC exhibition at The Korean Cultural Center in DC 25 October, 2014
A new exhibition, “Ancestry, Artistry, Choreography,” explores the history of Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company telling the story of Dana’s journey to international prominence by tracing his cultural heritage and the ways it has influenced his work. On view at the Korean Cultural Center (2370 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.), the exhibition opens Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m. with a free performance by the company, remarks by Dana and a public reception. The reception is free but RSVP is required. The exhibition is sponsored by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and will be on view through Nov. 30.

The inaugural event of the Diplomats of Dance Society, a new Washington, DC based association of young professionals and arts-lovers who celebrate dance, visual arts and culture in support of the Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company, was featured in the K Street Magazine.

DTSBDC Spring Fundraiser at Bistrot Lepic
DTSBDC’s Spring Fundraiser at Bistrot Lepic in Washington, DC was featured in The Georgetowner. Money raised will help support the company as Dana choreographs new dance works in their year-long residency at the National Portrait Gallery.

The company is working on a new work “Confluence” choreographed by Dana which, like his previous work “Homage”, is inspired by the museum’s “Dancing the Dream” exhibit. The new work will be performed on April 19, 2014 in the Kogod Courtyard at 1:00pm and 2:30pm. Join us!
